PostSubject: The Pet Thread   Mon Jan 24, 2011 12:53 am

I don't know if anyone else here has any sort of pet (besides Leanne, who has an adorable puppy Razz). But if you do, share cute pictures/stories. Because metal is totally about cute animals.

We adopted a dog a few months ago, his name's Buddy. He's roughly 2 years old, and we think he's a beagle mixed with something else, because he doesn't look 100% beagle. He was really shy and skinny when we first got him, but he's warmed up to people a little more and he's definitely a little plumper. Smile He's also the quietest dog we've ever owned; he only howls occasionally in his sleep and only barks every now and then at the vacuum (and his own barking seems to hurt his ears), so it's nice to have one of the rare quiet beagles. All I have of him on my computer currently is old pictures, so he looks a little wary and confused, but he definitely runs the place now. These are also some of the only pictures we have of him where he's awake...

I don't personally have any animals around my place, but my fiance has two cats and a very energetic dog. The cats hate me, but the dog adores me.

I would have thought you, of all people, would have a bunny named Professor McFluffles or something...I am shocked.

And this board seems to be primarily cat people, which saddens me. Still, I want details about these critters. tongue

I don't do pets. I like animals, but I can't handle them getting in my space. If my kid wasn't so damn awesome, I'd have trouble with him getting in my space as well. I'm a VERY solitary person.

We have one dog named Bronko at my house. He is a German Shepherd, Black Lab, Beagle mix, so basically a mutt. Really good dog though even if he is a bit of an attention whore.

We also have a shitload of cats. A year ago it was one but that she went and had two litters of kittens and we weren't able to get rid of most of them.

That sucks, sorry to hear about it. A couple years ago, we had two big dogs (Rhodesian Ridgebacks) that both passed away within 3 months of each other, not long after Christmas. That was really awful. The first one to go had liver failure (he was old and had always been overweight so we weren't that shocked), and when our second dog got sick, the vet couldn't find anything wrong with her besides a virus that she said would be all cleared up soon. Fuck that vet, we refused to go back there with our new dog; now we go to people who actually know what the fuck they're doing.

^ Depends on how furry they are. That's really the deciding factor between children and animals...

My brother has a puppy, his name is Tyson and he's half German Shepherd half Boxer. He's a knucklehead but he's a very good dog.

The way I do it's probably the old-fashioned way by now, but it's pretty easy.

1. Save picture on your computer somewhere if you don't have it there already
2. Create Photobucket profile (it's free)
3. Upload now -> upload from "My Computer" -> select pictures
4. When it's done uploading, copy + paste the IMG code

I'm sure there's probably an easier way to do it, but once you set up the account, there really isn't much to it.

She was alright until my old band's singer put her head in his mouth. She's getting better, but I think being a pain in the ass is just the feline way.
